Painting The Drama of Wildlife

Terry Isaac signs my copy of his book titled, "Painting The Drama of Wildlife".

Terry Isaac instructed a two day workshop at the Headwaters Art Room

in Discovery Center, Canal Flats, B.C. Seven lucky artists participated in

the workshop on April 7th and 8th, 2018, and much fun was had by all.

Terry offered gentle critiques and lessons on composition.

We were very privileged to learn from such a gifted artist and teacher.

Thank you Terry!

 POPPY WORKSHOP

On Saturday, May 14th a group of ladies joined me at the Headwater's Art Room at the Discovery Center in Canal Flats. We spent a full day together learning to paint in acrylics. Everyone painted from the same reference and yet each creation was different and unique. It was great to see individual styles emerge.

I would like to thank the Columbia Basin Trust for the grant that we received enabling our art society to offer workshops like these for our community.

Figure Drawing

On Sunday February 23rd, I organized a figure drawing session at the

Headwaters Art Society's space at Discovery Center in Canal Flats.

We had a full house for our instructor Cathy Parkes. Her daughter Stephanie

was our model for the afternoon. Together they made the afternoon a huge

success.

Cathy led our group through exercises in contours, negative shapes and circles.

Great Job Cathy and Stephanie! Cheers!

That Figures!

Don't forget about the up and coming figure drawing class at Discovery Center in Canal Flats this Sunday. We will commence at 1:00pm with our instructor Cathy Parkes. After our session we will mingle with some beverages and goodies while we 'gently' critique our work from the day. For more info call me @ (250) 349 5305 or email @ cartwrightleslie@gmail.com.
Looking forward to it!
