Duck, duck, goose!
"Forget about getting all my ducks in a row,
I'd settle for getting them all in the same pond!"

I am currently painting this mallard hen that I
photographed at a park in Kamploops. I was recently
admiring the work of Raymond Harris Ching who is a
wonderful realist and paints beautiful water and bird
scenes. After looking at some of his books I was
inspired to begin this piece.     Cheers!

Christmas Creations
2014

Tiles painted in alcohol inks and framed in old barn board.

I used masking fluid to leave the letters a brilliant white. Alcohol ink dries very fast and is tricky to paint with.

Challenging but fun!
The colours are vivid and bright.

Master Artist Seminar
Hollyhock, Cortes Island, B.C.
October 17th - 22nd, 2014

I have admired Robert Bateman's paintings since I was a little girl. So, it was a huge honour and pleasure to be able to participate in a 6 day seminar with him this October 17th to 22nd. The event took place at Hollyhock Adult Learning Center on Cortes Island.

The grounds and buildings at Hollyhock are beautiful. It was a very unique and special place to visit.

There was a lot of information to absorb in a relatively short time. There were 9 other students in my session, a very small and intimate group. I enjoyed their company and hope to keep in touch with them. Some people traveled from as far away as the Yukon, Toronto, Sussex-England, and California. Over-all the experience was amazing,(exclusive of the weather!)

CHEERS!
